Top Memecoin Falters as Dogecoin Whale Acquires 215,370,734 DOGE in One Transaction
A major Dogecoin (DOGE) whale has acquired over $16.9m worth of the cryptocurrency amid the overall slowdown of the memecoin’s price surge. The massive transaction was detected by blockchain-monitoring service Dogecoin Whale Alert, and involved the large whale receiving 215,370,734 DOGE from a top-20 Dogecoin wallet. Another deep-pocketed investor moved over $4.5m worth of DOGE from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet, while a third whale relocated over $3m worth of DOGE. At the time of writing, DOGE is trading for $0.08, down almost 14% in the last seven days. Meanwhile, the whale in question has gathered more than three billion DOGE worth over $337m, making them the second-largest non-exchange Dogecoin holder in the world.
