Other popular altcoins, including Dogecoin, Ripple, Litecoin, and Solana landed in the red across the board. Mudrex CEO Edul Patel said the market was waiting for this week’s release of nonfarm payroll data and speeches by US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, making it a crucial time for the market. OKB was the top loser among cryptocurrencies, experiencing a 24-hour dip of more than 3%. The global crypto market cap stood at $1.03tn at the time of writing. Rajagopal Menon, the vice president of WazirX, said Bitcoin and Ether had opened the business day with little movement, but market sentiment remained bearish, with many investors anticipating further declines. Any indication of a more aggressive stance on interest rates could increase market volatility, he said.
