THORChain (RUNE) and Unizen (ZCX) form a strategic partnership.
Unizen, a Web3 ecosystem, has partnered with THORChain to integrate the THORChain settlement layer to allow swaps between Ethereum and Avalanche C-chain to Bitcoin and vice versa. Unizen’s CTO Martin Granström cited THORChain’s ability to facilitate decentralised liquidity for assets on non-programmable chains as key to empowering trades on Unizen’s platform involving Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and additional cryptocurrencies. The partnership seeks to offer a centralised exchange trading experience to users while maintaining the security of self custody. THORChain is a cross-chain liquidity protocol that enables the exchange of native digital assets on multiple blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Cosmos Hub. THORChain does not use wrapped assets or external dependencies like oracles and is permissionless to become a validator, add liquidity or make a swap. Dozens of wallets, exchanges and DEX aggregators have used THORChain’s liquidity to offer yield and cross-chain swaps to users.
