SHIB and FLOKI Utilize Similar Strategy, According to Dogecoin Co-Creator

Shibetoshi Nakamoto, co-creator of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, has given insights into the marketing strategy used by meme coin communities, after tweeting some frequently asked questions about his role as a meme coin founder. In response to a Twitter user who criticised meme coin communities for aggressively promoting their coins and accusing critics of censorship when blocked, Markus defended the tactic, pointing out that it’s a common approach among other meme coins such as Shib, Safemoon and Floki. The theory is that a large and committed fan base can sustain a cryptocurrency’s value even in the absence of business use cases. Last week, Marshall Hyner, a member of the Dogecoin Foundation board of directors, said Dogecoin could become one of the top three cryptocurrencies, driven by its “memetic power.”
