Polygon outperforms other large cryptocurrencies with notable gains
During morning trading on Thursday, all large cryptocurrencies experienced gains. The biggest move was seen in Polygon, which rallied 6.06% to 76 cents. Uniswap climbed 2.48% to $5.37, while Polkadot climbed 2.41% to $5.26. Dogecoin and Solana also rose, with gains of 1.67% and 1.54% respectively. Bitcoin rallied 0.91% to $30,659.40, and Ripple climbed 0.91% to 47 cents. Ethereum and Cardano rounded out the increases for Thursday, with gains of 0.84% and 0.81% respectively.
In terms of crypto-related company news, shares of Coinbase Global Inc. slid 0.08% to $85.88, while MicroStrategy Inc. increased 1.30% to $418.86. Riot Platforms Inc. shares rose 5.86% to $18.69, and shares of Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. rallied 4.77% to $17.67. Overstock.com Inc. rallied 1.36% to $31.20, while Block Inc. rallied 5.11% to $74.86 and Tesla Inc. rose 0.56% to $273.51. PayPal Holdings Inc. rallied 1.81% to $71.87, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. shares jumped 12.79% to $11.20.
In the fund space, the Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETF, which focuses on pure-play crypto companies, climbed 3.90% to $10.26. The Blockchain-focused Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF rose 2.09% to $25.87. The Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, which tracks the Bitcoin market price, increased 2.03% to $20.10.
Overall, the cryptocurrency market saw gains across the board, with various cryptocurrencies and related companies experiencing positive movements.
