Elon Musk Terminates $44 Billion Buyout Deal; Twitter Vows To Sue The Billionaire

Billionaire Elon Musk, who has been making headlines for fathering twins with top Tesla executive Shivon Zilis, stunned the entire world by pulling out of his much-talked-about Twitter buyout deal. The ‘Tesla’ and ‘SpaceX’ head honcho took the decision to terminate the deal on Friday (July 8) over Twitter’s failure to provide sufficient information on the fake/spam accounts. Plus, Musk also alleged that the social media company violated their agreement when it fired high-ranking managers without his consent in the complaint letter submitted by his lawyer Mike Ringler.

“Twitter has failed or refused to provide this information. Sometimes Twitter has ignored Mr. Musk’s requests, sometimes it has rejected them for reasons that appear to be unjustified, and sometimes it has claimed to comply while giving Mr. Musk incomplete or unusable information,” the letter presented by Musk’s lawyer read.

Responding to Musk’s decision to back out of the multi-million dollar deal, Twitter chairman Bret Taylor, took to the microblogging platform and wrote, “The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement. We are confident we will prevail in the Delaware Court of Chancery.”

With both the parties now heading towards a legal court battle in Delaware, it’ll be interesting to see the outcome of this fallout. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Musk even reacted to reports of him fathering twins with Zilis as he wrote, “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.”
