Elon Musk Restates Commitment to Eating a McDonald’s Happy Meal on Live TV if Dogecoin Gets Accepted by Golden Arches
Elon Musk has confirmed that he will eat a McDonald’s Happy Meal on live television if the fast-food chain starts accepting Dogecoin as a form of payment. The proposal was made by DogeDesigner on Twitter, and Musk replied with a “Yes.” This is not the first time Musk has mentioned eating a Happy Meal if McDonald’s embraces Dogecoin, as the conversation started back in January 2022. Despite the growing popularity of Dogecoin and endorsements from figures like Mark Cuban and Musk himself, widespread adoption by retailers is still lacking. While companies like Tesla have incorporated Dogecoin as a payment option, McDonald’s has not followed suit. In contrast, competitors like Burger King and Mr. Beast Burger have used Dogecoin acceptance as part of their marketing strategies. At the time of writing, Dogecoin was trading at $0.068, up 1.75% in the last 24 hours.
