DOGE Developers Get Ready for Upcoming Dogecoin System Upgrade
A Dogecoin developer known as “Bluezr” on Twitter has hinted at ongoing work for an upgrade to Dogecoin Core. The upgrade is said to target the DOGE core’s minor build system. Bluezr has mentioned work on the upgrade while sharing a Github repo that indicates ongoing contributions and feedback for Dogecoin core 1.14.7.
The previous update, 1.13.6, included security updates, changes to the existing fee system, and new features. However, details about the upcoming upgrade have not been revealed yet. Users anticipate that the upgrade will build on the previous one and include further improvements to enhance Dogecoin’s security and functionality.
In March, a blockchain security firm called Halborn discovered multiple vulnerabilities in Dogecoin Core 1.14.5 and older versions, which affected an additional 280 instances of blockchain software on the Bitcoin Blockchain. Fortunately, these issues were fixed in the most recent upgrade.
As of writing, DOGE is trading at $0.06303, with a market cap of $8,825,191,935. Multiple price predictions suggest that the price of DOGE could turn bullish. Once the developers release the next system upgrade, the sentiment for Dogecoin may further improve.
