Details of Dogecoin (DOGE) Being Added to Verifiable Assets on Binance
Binance has added Dogecoin (DOGE) to its list of verifiable assets, allowing users to verify their holdings in the cryptocurrency through the exchange’s proof-of-reserves system. Along with DOGE, the update includes 10 other crypto assets: MASK, ENJ, WRX, GRT, CHR, CRV, 1INCH, CVP, HFT, and SSV. The move brings the total amount of funds verifiable on Binance’s proof-of-reserves system to over $63 billion, with 24 assets now listed. Binance’s proof-of-reserves system was introduced in late 2022 as part of a wider push for greater transparency, and last month the exchange implemented zero-knowledge algorithms to enhance privacy and security. The addition of DOGE comes after the Dogecoin community lobbied for proof of assets for the cryptocurrency. Binance eventually added a link to a Dogecoin wallet containing proof of assets for BSC-Doge in June 2022.
