Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), XRP and Six Altcoins Among the Most Googled Crypto Assets of 2022
New data shows that a handful of altcoins, including Cardano (ADA) and XRP, are among the most searched crypto assets of 2022.
according to the new Research By personal finance website Dollar Geek, bitcoin (BTC) is the most searched digital asset in both the world and the US, followed by popular dog-themed meme assets Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE).
Statistics show that the largest crypto asset by market cap was searched an average of 4.57 million times per month in the US during 2022, while SHIB received 1.29 million and DOGE 729,000.
Globally, KingCrypto was searched 28.4 million times per month, while Shiba Inu and Dogecoin were searched 4.43 million and 5.85 million times, respectively.
As a spokesperson for DollarGeek stated,
“Bitcoin remains the most popular cryptocurrency in the US and around the world, having been the first cryptocurrency in widespread use since its release in 2009. The number of searches for some of the youngest cryptocurrencies.”
The top five includes the leading smart contract platform Ethereum (ETH) and its competitor Avalanche (AVAX). Layer-1 blockchains saw 611,000 and 534,000 US monthly searches, and 3.8 million and 861,000 searches globally this year, respectively.
The other five digital currencies in the top 10 list are BTC alternative Litecoin (LTC) at 6th, Cardano at 7th, XRP at 8th, decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Safemoon (SFM) at 9th and quantum-resistant blockchain Nexus Are included. NXS) on the 10th.
