
Bitcoin increases but stays under $23,000; Ethereum and other tokens decline slightly.
On Monday, most cryptocurrencies, except for Bitcoin, saw losses, continuing the trend from the previous session. The global crypto market cap was at $1.01 trillion with a volume of nearly $27.8 billion in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin, which is the largest and most popular virtual currency, rose 0.2% to $22,397.1, with a market value of $432 billion. Ethereum, the second-largest virtual currency, fell 0.2% to nearly $1,563.9 with a market capitalization of $191 billion. Dogecoin, a meme-based virtual currency, fell 1.6% and has a market value of $9.8 billion. Solana fell 1.6% to $20.9 while Shiba Inu fell 1.5% with a market capitalization of $6 billion. Polygon fell 1.7% to $0.1 and has a market capitalization of $8.7 billion. Most virtual currencies have seen a decrease in the past week, with Bitcoin falling almost 5% and Ethereum slipping 4.8%.
