Bitcoin drops below $24,700 benchmark, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu experience nearly 4% decline in trading.

On March 15, 2023, the global cryptocurrency market experienced a 0.24% decrease, bringing it to $1.10T. The price of Bitcoin and Ethereum also traded in the red with Bitcoin down 4.61% at US$24,674.31 and Ethereum down 3.36% at US$1,678.67. The total crypto market volume over the past 24 hours increased by 9.55% to $99.32B, with DeFi accounting for 9.82% and stablecoins accounting for 93.57%. Other cryptocurrencies such as Cardano, Solana, XRP, Polygon, and Polkadot also experienced price drops ranging from 3.67% to 7%. Additionally, meme-based cryptocurrencies Dogecoin and Shiba Inu traded lower, with Dogecoin down 3.69% at US$0.073547 and Shiba Inu down 4.65% at US$0.000011. The biggest crypto losers included Threshold (T), OKB (OKB), and Maker (MKR).
