The BIG3 basketball league has won the Best in Web3 award from the Sports Business Journal for its Forever Experience Action Tokens (FEATs), which provide blockchain-backed ownership-like benefits for its teams. These are the first blockchain-powered offerings for a professional sports team or league that allow buyers to have utility in a professional sports team, offering benefits above and beyond the perks of fan clubs or season ticket holders. Benefits of owning these tokens include exclusive meet-and-greets with players and coaches, VIP game-day experiences, one-of-a-kind merchandise, and strategic input on league and team calls with referees, coaches, players, and commissioner Clyde Drexler.
