Apple’s Rumoured Extreme Sports Edition Watch Could Be Called Watch Series 8 Pro; Here’s How Much It Will Cost
Apple is tipped to come with three new variants of the Apple Watch Series 8 this year in September. This year’s watch lineup might include an SE variant, the vanilla Watch Series 8 and an extreme sports edition which is likely to be given the Pro branding. Furthermore, the Cupertino tech giant is tipped to keep its focus on this rumoured Watch Series 8 Pro.
Mark Gurman suggested in his latest newsletter that Apple will be selling the extreme sports edition of the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 with a Pro branding. This watch is tipped to get a “shatter-resistant” display and it is likely to include features such as enhanced swim and hiking tracker along with a better battery life. This watch is said to be coming with a rugged case and will be a bit bulky to give a sports look. Gurman further said that the company is making this watch from “premium, non-aluminum metal material”.
Apple’s next generation of smartwatches are tipped to pack the S8 chipset which is said to be similar to the processor that powers the Apple Watch Series 7 and Watch Series 6. Furthermore, the watch could come with a fever detection feature as well. Apple might set the prcie of the Apple Watch Series 8 between $900 and $999 which is roughly Rs 70,000- Rs 80,000 in Indian currency.
Mark Gurman had also suggested that the display of the rumoured sports edition of the Apple Watch Series 8 could measure 2 inch which is slightly bigger than the 1.9 inch display of Apple Watch Series 7.
